  1. Preparing the annual budget project as well as the financial estimations of the Ministry’s plans, programs and studies at the set schedules.

  2. Preparing a periodical report sharing the status of the Ministry’s approved annual budget including actual expenditure, commitments and unoccupied financial grades during the reported period.

  3. Supervising the application of the directives of the financial law, regulations, memorandums and their amendments as well as the civil service law, its executive regulations and its amendments and government tenders law, the law of signing financial transactions (internal & external) and other laws and regulations applied in this regard.

Information & Publication Center
  1. Making sure that all departments of the directorate are executing their tasks and following up on their work periodically.
  2. Making sure that legal and organizational procedures are followed regarding unoccupied financial grades and taking the necessary steps of employment as needed in coordination with the Ministry of Civil Service and after approval by the Personnel Committee.

  3. Following up on the Job Classification System and the procedures that should be followed to execute it in coordination with the Ministry of Civil Service.

  4. Preparing the training plan of the Ministry’s staff according to work requirements and available financial resources to increase staff performance and enhance and develop their skills according to the policies and regulations applied in this regard and the recommendations of the Ministry’s officials.  Also suggesting training programs necessary to execute the approved training plan.

  5. Determining the rates of the operational costs of the Ministry’s vehicles and taking the necessary procedures to maintain them and monitor their fuel consumption.

  6. Purchasing and providing the Ministry’s needs of machines, office equipment, office and household furniture and other services.

  7. Taking the necessary procedures to take care of Ministry’s buildings including the necessary periodical maintenance.

  8. Coordinating with the media in the Sultanate to cover the activities of the Ministry’s officials and the official visits to the Ministry made by foreign official delegations.

  9. Strengthening the relationships and cooperation between the Ministry and the local and international media.
