Participates in the economic, financial and legal studies concerning privatization, in coordination with the concerned authorities; reviewing studies prepared by the consultants on the development of private sector; and prepares the relevant memoranda and submitting the same to the concerned authorities.

Participates in conferences, seminars, and technical committees related to the development of private sector, privatization and investment promotion.

Prepares reports that are submitted to the Council of Ministers on the implementation of privatization projects.

Evaluates the cost of the projects  to be privatized with respect to the support needed for the private sector and prepares  the and monetary flows required; participates- in coordination with the Ministries and other authorities concerned - in the activities of tenders related to privatization projects.

Follow-up the implementation of privatization policies and controls embodied in the Royal Decree No. 77/2004; and defines the potential projects for privatization in coordination with the relevant directorate and departments of the Ministry, and the other concerned authorities.

Studying and anlysing the investment policies and procedures; proposing policies and procedures required for encouraging private investment at local and foreign levels; preparing proposals for investment programs of the private sector; and follow-up the implementation of policies and procedures approved for investment promotion.

Studying the legislative, regulatory and administrative frameworks of enterprises operating in the field of investment, prepare proposals required for amending he same to suit the policies approved for investment promotion or for privatization of public projects.

Participates in the preparation of regulations required for the regulatory frameworks of privatization projects. 

Prepares investment programs for the projects of the private sector and privatization, at pectoral and regional levels.
