The Ministry of National Economy has adopted systematically and strategically some of techniques & methods to satisfy its different sections of users through the contents of its web site that provides huge information in the organized contents with ease of browse and quick navigation. The web site is providing many e-Services to customers, government entities & private sectors.

Following are the highlights on some of the very commonly used contents of e- services with user friendly layouts for quick navigation & browsing facilities:

 

Browsing publications

The website disseminates statistical information of all the Ministry’s publications such as monthly Statistical Bulletin, Statistical Year Book, Foreign Investment Statistical Bulletin and Preview of Omani Economy for the browsing, reading and storing. Subscribers can follow-up about the new publications via an email notification and acquire the hard copies or CDs through the e-payment services.

This service is available for individuals, government units and private sector enterprises.

 

Browsing Statistics ONLINE

Statistics Online is a visual, interactive, query-based, easy-to-use system. It contains a database with time series data and indicators organized into themes and sectors. These indicators help to measure progress of activity and sectors. Users can query , generate reports, charts and data export facility.

This service is available for individuals, government units and private sector enterprises.

 

Newsletter subscription

The Ministry issues a monthly e-newsletter to all subscribers. It covers the latest news, events and publications to facilitate interaction with those concerned and for linking them with the Ministry’s website.

Request for approval to carry out a study/ field statistical survey.

The ministry grants approval for conducting statistical field surveys and studies for a better coordination among all concerned entities. This results in a coordinated plan of action, optimizing efforts & resources.  The ministry therefore, has launched an on line services to receive requests from the concerned entities who are willing to conduct any such survey or studies.This process ensures quicker response for  obtaining approvals from the ministry.

This service is available for government units and private sector enterprises.

 

Registration of proposed projects in the 8th  Five-Year Plan

In order to record the proposals for new projects in the 8th. Five Years Plan, the web application, for the first time, has been launched to facilitate all the ministries and government units for the same. The system features many advantages & the most important one is the electronic registration and exchange of projects within & between the units & the Ministry of National Economy. Moreover, automated notifications system through e-mail and SMS are also the part of the features to facilitate the follow-up.

This service is available for the Ministries & the Government units.
